What is Iboga?

Iboga (Tabernanthe Iboga) has a long history of use as remedy and spiritual evolution in central Africa. Legend has it that the people of the forest (pygmies) discovered it for the first time through observations of animals such as wild boar, porcupine and gorillas that consumed the root. Iboga is once used in life, in a high dose, in initiatic ceremonies by the Bwiti culture. The purpose of this initiation is for people to visit the spirit world and communicate with their ancestors as they seek guidance for their lives.

The ceremony with Iboga is not a pleasure trip. It does not have any kind of recreational attraction. Anyone seeking pleasure or excitement is not the right place. However, it has the ability to be deeply cleansing and therapeutic when used with care and respect.

Iboga … why venture out?

The West knows Iboga for ibogaine and its effects by stopping addiction. In Africa they treat and know Iboga as a master healer and have been used more as remedy and spiritual evolution. Iboga is not only effective in eliminating addictions, but it is also a powerful aid in eliminating destructive habits, negatives and toxic behavioral patterns. Venturing into a trip with Iboga is a personal and therapeutic experience, in which you will be confronted with your past and elements of your shadow. For many, Iboga takes the form of a teacher … it is straightforward, but not arrogant, both powerful and gentle, having a soft touch as it goes straight to the point.

When under the influence of Iboga, the user sees himself in a disconnected state. One is able to see their lives without the full emotional intensity and attachment that such experiences may contain. This allows you to process things without being emotionally overwhelmed. Iboga provides a complete defragmentation of the toxic information in the brain, while providing a complete detox at the same time. It is a multifaceted plant that cleans and transforms physically, mentally and spiritually. Many people see Iboga as a profound way of pressing the START button of life and providing a fresh start to enact change. After taking Iboga, it is easier to walk in a different direction and gain new perspectives of healing in life.
